Ran this today. G-17 concealed at 3 O'clock under a heavy winter coat.

    Per Drill test: 3.25 -1 2nd try: 3.13 -1 3rd try 3.38 -1 Arrrgh!! 4th try 3.95 -0 Finally

Drill 1: One shot each run. First shot was 1.07, all the rest were well within par 0 down.
Drill 2: Two shots. 1st shot 1.11 5th shot was 1.16, rest were within par 2 misses total.
Drill 3: Three shots. All but 2 were slightly over par 5 misses total.

    Post Drill test: 2.89 clean.

I shot this cold in the cold.

As I warmed up, my shooting was better. Was my post drill test better because I was warmed up or because the drill helped me? 2.89 clean is what I usually shoot a Bill drill in when I am warmed up. This drill is a lot about index and not fumbling anything. My wife ran it too and she agrees that it is about index and trusting your sights to be where they should be.

Another great and interesting drill. I shot it with my M&P 9FS.

    My results:
    • starting position for the "test" phases: ready position
    • time for pre-drill 6 shot "test": 6.53s (Note, I had two misses on first attempt, so shot it again clean)
    • number of misses for each string:
      • First attempt at first string was 1.5 sec par time at 7 yd. I had 5 misses and two over par.
      • Second attempt at first string was 2 sec par time at 5 yd. I had 2 misses and zero over par. (Interestingly, only one hit took more than 1.5 sec, but I was a lot more comfortable with the par time set to 2 sec. Hmmm.)
    • time for post-drill 6 shot "test": 5.97s (One miss on first attempt, second attempt clean)

    Thanks!

Start position for Bill Drills: concealed (CCC Shaggy under untucked polo)

    String 1: 10/10
    String 2: 20/20
    String 3: 28/30 (2 late)
    String 4: 32/40 (4 misses and 4 late)

Bill Drill #1 at beginning: 2.39 clean
Bill Drill #2 at end: 1.97 clean

The 4-shot strings were all about being on the sight during the press-out. If I wasn't visually in control of the gun before firing the first shot, I never had time to regain control and either missed, stuttered, or both. I shot about 2/3 of the 4-shot runs clean, and missed all of my shots on the other 1/3.

string 2- 10/20 (4 late, 3 misses, and 3 that were both late and missed)

    bill drill #2 3.33 -1
I see now I should have shot it till it was clean. to be honest, even if I had known that, I probably would have quit anyway.

I should have done the 1.5 second version of this drill. This was too fast, and I was too far out of practice.

2 were just outside but one was way off on the edge. I don't even know how it went so bad. Oh well.

    Bill drill #1 - 2.51 with 1 out. Reshoot - 2.59
    Bill drill #2 - I knew I forgot something.
