Initially reported to have suffered a cardiac arrest event last night. Now, several outlets have confirmed that he was removed from life support.
Can this day possibly suck any worse?

I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.
I’ve always enjoyed his music. I think I’ll spin some up tonight and tip a glass to him.

A lot of Tom Petty on the radio at the moment.
"Rich," the Old Man said dreamily, "is a little whiskey to drink and some food to eat and a roof over your head and a fish pole and a boat and a gun and a dollar for a box of shells." Robert Ruark
I thought he was just OK until I moved to TX. Then I realized that his music is basically a bunch of love songs written about Los Angeles.

Not another dime.
He may still be alive...?
ETA: Er, well....
Sources tell us at 10:30 Monday morning a chaplain was called to Tom's hospital room. We're told the family has a do not resuscitate order on Tom. The singer is not expected to live throughout the day, but he's still clinging to life. A report that the LAPD confirmed the singer's death is inaccurate -- the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. handled the emergency.

Free Fallin and Jammin Me are two of my favorites songs.
He is a talented guy and if he goes, will be missed.

I can remember watching Last Dance With Mary Jane on MTV when I was a kid. To some of you that makes me a whippersnapper, to others a geezer.
Growing up in Fla. you would always get a heavy dose of TP on the radio given he was from Gainesville. Very unique voice, you either loved him or hated him. I always like him a lot. Saw him a couple times in concert, but by far one of the best shows was seeing him at Red Rocks in Colorado years ago. He'll be missed.
Of course it's beeen played a million times but breakdown live was awesome, crowd sang almost the whole song.
RIP.
