    A good set of articles.

    Not only must that changing gears be part of practice, but pushing that concept in a, "Test" is essential.

    As a person gets better or worse(as they de-train as an old fart such as myself) it is easy to see them do poorly after the draw, after the reload, after a malfunction clearance, after changing cover, after anything that makes the shooter mentally and physically reset. Suddenly we are right back at the cold, first shot of the day.
    What you do right before you know you're going to be in a use of force incident, often determines the outcome of that use of force.
