First batch of .308 with new neck turner

I loaded 45 rounds of .308win for my bench gun today. I turned the neck on 20 of them to see if they group better than un turned.

35 rounds are Winchester brass, 15 of these are neck turned. 10 rounds are Hornady Match brass, 5 of these are neck turned.

All are loaded with 175gn SMK pills, Winchester large rifle primers and 42.9gn of Varget powder. COAL is 2.930" which puts the ogive .005" off the lands. this is the best load I have worked up for this rifle to date.

Man I love this scale! you can clearly see the change of one granule/stick of Varget.

    Hit the range today.

I couldn't get in the groove at all. I could see my heart beat bouncing the reticle even at low mag.

With the flyer it's just a tiny bit over 1moa. Discount the flyer and its a bit under 1/2moa. This was the neck turned Hornady Match brass.

The load chronographed(12 shots) 2483fps to 2505fps with a standard deviation of 11fps These were all un turned but a mix of Hornady and Winchester brass so not a great data point.
