Thread: P220 equivalent?

    P220 equivalent?

I was just wondering - what would be considered the closest equivalent of the Sig P220 / P226 SAO in other firearm brands?

    Not sure, really

    P220 equivalent?

HK45, HK45C are decent pistols but if you must have single action... 1911, of course. Just expect to pay a helluva lot more for a reputable brand and model. Look at Dan Wesson and Springfield.

For the P226? Maybe the CZ P-09 and CZ P-07 models; especially so if you have CAJUN GUNWORKS install their Pro Package.

The CZ 75B SA would be a reasonable equivalent to the P226 SA.

Now that is pretty badass. I wonder why their SAO frame safety versions aren't more prevalent? Seems like it'd be a pretty sweet shooter

My inner gun collector tendency points me toward wanting one. But reality says 9mm in a 33 oz gun is likely a better place on the weight-vs-recoil continuum than making it out of steel, and I'm much more confident in my abilities with a DA first shot than I am that I'd flick the safety off when drawing an SAO.
