    Week 232: Consistency 2

    Week 232: Consistency 2

Results may be posted until October 1st, 2017.

    Designed By: Gabe White
    Range: 25 yards
Target: B8 repair center, download here: https://pistol-forum.com/attachment....1&d=1322428748
    Start Position: Holstered
    Rounds Fired: Varies

This drill works on maintaining the level of accuracy established shooting slowfire while standing, but when working from a prone position, which can add a little complication even if there is no specific time limit involved.

String 1: First, establish a baseline of accuracy. Set up a B8 at 25 yards. For the purposes of the drill, only hits to the black bull (9-ring or better) count. Shoot at it slowfire, going for pure accuracy, until you either miss the black bull or get ten consecutive hits. If you miss on the first shot, repeat until you hit at least once. This number is your pure accuracy baseline and will be the number of consecutive hits you are trying to equal or exceed in String 2.

String 2: Next, try to equal or exceed that level of consistency, but drawing from the holster and getting into a prone position (any prone position you want.) Set up another B8 at 25 yards. Draw from the holster, go prone, and fire one shot at it. Repeat (drawing from the holster and getting into prone for EVERY shot) until you miss the black bull. If you get more than ten consecutive hits in String 2, you don't have to stop - if you are still hitting, you can keep going until you feel like stopping. The goal is to equal or exceed the number of consecutive hits in String 1.

Please report the following when you post your results in this thread:

    Pistol and holster used
Number of consecutive hits in String 1
Number of consecutive hits in String 2
    Anything you noticed
