    14-year-old Kid Shoots A Mountain Lion in South Dakota

    Used a plastic playhouse for a blind. Based on the shape of the trigger guard, his rifle looks like a Remington 783. Article says it's a 30-06.

    "He decided he was going to go sit out there until 7, when he had to do milking chores," Lisa Streff said. "He said he'd go back out again at 5:30 in the morning if it hadn't returned that night. But even though it was a possibility, none of us expected the cat to come back that evening."

    Nice to hear about a hardy kid who has chores and cares about something beyond texting on his cell phone.

    Very cool story, thanks for sharing. The kid won the Remington rifle last year in a NRA raffle, outstanding. Congrats Dalton.

    The smile on his face in the one picture is priceless! His determination and patience paid off. I am just glad to see kids like himself, with a love of the outdoors.
