I’m at 3,000+. I never noticed the cutout either. I have an early misaligned frame/slide as well.

I’m pondering buying another G19.5 after this current round of ECNs gets rolled out.

I mean who doesn’t need two Glock 19s.

It didn’t bother me on the Gen 2, it doesn’t bother me on the Gen5.

I’m proud of you both if you can stop at two, I know I couldn’t

Accessories are a GM plug and SCD.

Today doing Dry Practice I felt a ‘hitch’ right before the break:

    https://youtu.be/ricp8A6NGys

The ‘hitch’ is audible in the video, and manifests as a perceptible wall in the take up. This was not there until after my last session.

Examining the action closer, if I put my finger on the right side slide release, I can literally feel it being pushed outward slightly (maybe 0.050”?) by the moving bar (sorry, I don’t know what this is called) as this hitch takes place.

It is repeatable and occurs EXACTLY at the same point in the press, every time.

    Thoughts?
Soooo...comparing my now 3,000 round Glock 19 Gen 5 trigger with my 200 round Glock 26.5 trigger today, my hitch on the Glock 19 is back.

The G26 is very smooth, rolling break. The G19 has lots of hitches in the motion and is very uneven, especially right at the end as per the video above from a year ago.

The Gen 5’s have been out for a while now; what do folks do in these situations that has helped with this? Are there trigger parts I can replace or upgrade?

I’ve not ever had the gun apart further than standard field strip per the manual. I use Hoppe’s Bore Cleaner and Slip 2000 EWL for lube. Ammo has been good quality stuff e.g. Speer, AE, S&B. Would a complete strip and clean help?

    TIA...

IMO a tear down and cleaning wouldn't hurt to rule out debris etc.

Glock trigger bars and connectors are cheap (and stamped) so some variance might be expected from part to part (in my experience.)

Thanks, probably about time I learned how to do this anyway.

I seem to recall there was some talk of the 19 M parts being coated (?) so will look into what is the best hard use option. Of course I’m sure I can’t likely go wrong by going to Brownell’s and ordering a few Glock Gen 5 replacement items.
