    Hi,I'm looking for recommendations for a revolversmith please,for both new production Rugers and S&W?Thanks for any help.

    The only one I ever used besides the factory was Jim Stroh of Alphaprecision, but he retired a few years ago. I seem to recall he passed away recently.

    I have used Don Williams of The Action Works for my first custom J frame.

    Gemini Customs is the one of the big Ruger smiths.

    I can't recommend him highly enough. He did great action work and customizations on a Model 27 he sold me. His lead times seem pretty good, too.

    My old Model 29-2 was spitting lead pretty badly. Karl Sokol (http://www.chestnutmountainsports.net/) fixed it. The work was not expensive and the gun came back right on schedule.

    I'd definitely use him again.
