I'll probably just have to wait a bit. All of my gun tools are still packed away, to include calipers and micrometers. Don't think the toddler's Wally Kazam ruler is gonna cut it.

You can get much more of what you want with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone.
So I have the Nordic Comp clamp and will buy the picatinny rail for it. Does anyone have any experience using an offset mount to have the light lower or is the preference for coaxial mount. I am looking at these mounts.

Here's how the light sits with the SM-E/I: Scout Mount (the offset mount doesn't work for me in this application);
I remember seeing your picture. I was leaning toward the offset mount to lower the light below the tube. I appreciate your advice.
I'm currently giving this mount a try, which positions the light perfectly (for me) while keeping the WML package compact. Caveats - the light is held too close for the Hound Dog to fit and it's a PITA to remove when disassembly is needed for cleaning;
I was going to try to combine the light mount with the mag clamp I already have on the shot gun. The problem I will have is the light will be too far forward. I will have to slide my hand forward to operate the light.
I looked at the mount you are showing, to bring the light closer to my hand. I thought the same as you, in addition to not knowing if it will fit a Nordic Comp mag tube. I will probably mount a Surefire P2x Fury on my gun.
Another thought I had on the offset was it may reduce some barrel shadow, but I don't really know.
There are are going to be some trade offs.

I found some other light mount options buried in the Beretta 1301 thread.
