On a separate note my 2014 vintage gen 4 G19 that has run excellent except a few ammo related issues smoked me dead center of my forehead with 2 cases out of 100 tonight which is a completely new thing...

I think this is true. FWIW the 2 Gen4 19s I acquired this year have both run great but I have shot a Gen4 19 that was possessed by demons.

Customer service just told me Gen 5 mags are specific to the gen5 and "eventually there will be Gen 5 10rd mags.
