The closest thing to rocking a 92 with no grips at all is the Vertec ones. They'll fit the full size frame just fine, and are smaller side to side in ways smaller handed folks would like .

Neato, I never knew this! The fact that I can stipple the vertec grips to my liking and only be out $22 makes this all the better. I think I'm going to have to sell off some of my gun stuff thanks to this thread.

Never heard of the Compact M type. Really neat.

$350 for a 92 is very tempting, but my next 92 will be railed and I don't have money to spend on guns that aren't exactly what I want.

The Type M is the goofiest gun.

Beretta takes the 92 and makes it shorter in the butt and nose: 92 Compact.
Someone says it should be thinner, single stack: Type M.

Then some utter moron designs the grips for the gun to be extra wide so the grip feels identical to the standard double-stack 92.

True story.

A 92 Type is literally a 92 Compact in which you opt to run 8rd mags instead of 13rd mags. It's like asking the car company to rip out your gas tank and replace it with an 8g one.
