    Criminal Mindset

Believe this is right spot for this post...
Currently reading Without Conscience by Robert D Hare which is turning into an outstanding read on psychopaths. What books/articles would people on PF recommend on the criminal mindset. I'll be looking into Rory Miller's books next, but am looking for more reading to develop myself.

I think you could include Gavin de Becker's The Gift of Fear.

It is an interesting affirmation of the legitimacy of the mind's early warning system via gut feelings, premonitions and ultimately fear itself.

I'm only partway through it but am finding it quite interesting.

If you are an Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network member, there is an excellent video with Mark MacYoung in the member's section.
(I haven't read his books but I imagine they are useful in much the same way Rory Miller's work is.)

Not a book, but I thought Dr William Aprill's presentation on violent criminal actors and the 5 W's of risk were really insightful.

Agreed. I've attended his Unthinkable class and it was very interesting. He's on a number of podcasts, been a while since I listened to them but it looks like this one gives an overview of his material and he's been on Ballistic Radio several times as well.

Another recommendation for Dr. April - take is class, but in the mean time, in addition to ballistic radio , he has also been on a couple of the Practically Tactical podcasts.

Downloaded to Kindle. I love that the library makes this so easy. Thanks for the recommendation.
