@SoCalDep - Those are sweet, especially the 36. You probably know this, but older J frames were regulated for 158-grain ammo, though 148-grain wadcutters usually hit to POA as well. If the GDs are all that's authorized, you just have to remember the difference.

Thanks! I figured there would be some elevation difference for the reasons you stated. I’m really happy that windage is dead on, because I can deal with minor variations in elevation.

S&W model 37 with 3 inch barrel, have not seen one in several years till I found this one at a local show in early June. It came with S&W Magna grips, found these on Ebay.

Without even seeing this I was contemplating having a 3" barrel put on my 37 just the other day. I may have to investigate further.

Traded an LCR for it. S/N looks to be 1982ish.

    Nice trade!

    Bobbed hammer?

    My current 3 J-frames.

The bottom Model 60 was a gift from a family member.

The middle 342 was the first gun I ever purchased myself. Round about the time S&W made their deal with the devil.

The top 442-1 Performance Center is a recent acquisition with @Lost River grip modification. Favorite of the 3.

It's been shortened and rounded somewhat.

There is just enough left to cock the hammer.
My first inclination is to bob it further and remove the SA notch.
On the other hand, the way that it is now works well for checking for high primers.
    Time will tell.
