Looking for a quality scope for rimfire rifle with a nice reticle.

A few weeks ago I made a post here about looking for a decent rimfire rifle to get some rifle training and over the weekend I purchased a CZ 455 Training rifle in 22 LR. My intention is to shoot it with iron sights for a while and eventually purchase a scope to put on it so I'm in no rush and I don't need it urgently; I just want to know what scope to get so I can keep an eye out and wait for a good deal on it.

To that end my range is limited to fixed berms of 25, 100, and 200 yards. Also I would like something with externally adjustable turrets and reticles designed to assist in holdover and measurement so I can learn how to apply my rimfire training to larger calibers down the road. Other than that the only other requirement is that it should fit on the CZ 455 preferably without needing to remove the rear sight and it should be less than $700. (That price is a hard stop because I would like to participate in the new NRL 22 matches if I can find one to go to and that is their specified max allowable price. )

Try this one as it is from a decent company and has a BDC and target turrets. Price is also nice. https://swfa.com/nikon-2-7x32-p-rimfire-scope-1.html

This one is at your price limit. https://swfa.com/leupold-6-5-20x40-v...iflescope.html

    One in the middle. https://swfa.com/nikon-3-12x42-monar...lescope-3.html

I'm guessing SFP to keep wider range of scope choices? Milrad or MOA?

    Tough one. Reliable, accurate turrets.

Too bad the SWFA 10x HD falls a bit outside your price range. Are sale prices taken into account or just normal retail?

I own and have been using the Bushnell 2-7 with .22 BDC for several months.

Bought it for my M&P 15-22, which is my primary training tool for my (now) 8-year old.
BDC works well (though for shots past 125 or so I'd dial), clarity is adequate, eye relief and box are decent for the application, focus is straight-forward and not a PITA.
I don't care that it is SFP, since I'll be fine with pushing to 7x for any shot that needs the BDC, and works fine at closer range on 2x.
Parallax adjustment meets the ranges applicable to .22LR.
For the application and my requirements for the rifle, it does not leave me wanting.

    And it's barely over $100.

If a fixed power is OK, I have had this one on my CZ455 Varmint. Very repeatable settings. I've been shooting out to 200 yards and still have a lot of adjustment left. I used a DIP 25MOA base. http://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail....75301&CAT=3600

Right now I have a Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44 scope on it for the kids to use.

The SWFA has exposed turrets and the Vortex has finger turn able turrets under a cap.

It kind of depends on what you want to do with the rifle.

The Picatinny rail makes it easy to switch scopes back and forth. I have 3 10-22's and the CZ 455, all with Picatinny rails. The other day I was switching scopes back and forth trying to see which would work best for kids.

edit to add: SWFA https://swfa.com/ Has good sales every so often. Sign up for their e-mail updates. Black Friday will be here soon.
