    Changing focus

I'm having difficulty making myself change focus to the front site as I drive the gun towards my target. I tend to keep my focus directed towards the target as the sights come into alignment in my near vision.

It's not affecting my ability to make good hits close but at ranges beyond 10-15 yards I can see it's being detrimental to my accuracy.

I'm not shooting at threat based targets, just bullseyes for now, as I thought that might be having something to do with it but I still have to pretty much stop once my gun reaches full extension and force myself to refocus on the front sight and not the target, even in dry fire. Which might be where I got the bad habit in the first place.

Are there any drills to correct this? could it be an aging eye issue?

Thanks for any help anyone might be able to provide.

I used a version of the Wall Drill, http://pistol-training.com/drills/wall-drill with presentation (from holster) to break myself of this habit. Hope this helps.
