New M9... does that mean rail or no rail?
I think this is a key point.
Lots of folks have recommended a lot of options that would probably drive the price up near $1,000. Once you've done that, there isn't much reason to get this model over a M9A3, or Wilson Brig Tac, or a G-SD. If you can keep the price under your typical SIG, which a "normal" M9/92FS does, I think you'd have a winner.
Wilson is selling the 92G as fast as they can make them. Almost 7000 out the door so far.
If it costs more, it has to be better.
If it costs less, it still has to be special.
Since others have thrown out their wishes, mine is for a 92G Centurion with tritium, fiber, or orange front sight (in that order of preference).

I like the idea. A Centurion so equipped really floats my boat.
I agree with you about this.
My reason for even suggesting a dovetail front sight is that once the final order of M9's are delivered to the government, there will be little need to maintain the integral front sight for the contract. The 92 series is, I believe, the last service pistol system to have an integral front. Transitioning the entire line to a dovetail format, opens up options for all, and it brings the 92/M9 series up to a modern standard. It may even simplify manufacturing. I don't know any of this for certain, but even Colt is selling 1911's with dovetail fronts these days.
As proposed, it'll doubtless be a winner for Beretta.
I would be in for one
And here I am thinking about trading my Inox Beretta Vertec FS. I still have my LT Beretta Elite II. Won't go anywhere.
