If they didn't the syphilis did. Probably picked it up in a tattoo parlor.

I gave a wishlist to the doctor,
    He put it his stack.
    Bright and early next morning,
    He brought my wishlist back.
    He wrote upon it:
Returned this gender, this sex unknown.
Wrong gene number, none such known.

Back sort of on topic, tattoos on women, as well as what were a short time ago considered weird hair colors and such have been growing on me over the past few years. For my wierd-lookingness in those old pictures on the bike with the dead deer, Ive been pretty conservative minded for the most part over time. Ive loosened up somewhat.
I'm seeing more grey- and white-haired older folks having fun sporting "unnatural" hair colors. And why not? With the temporary colors avaialble now you can match your outfit or mood or team colors in the morning and wash it out at night.

A grey-haired female relative had muted blue and purple streaks done professionally, and I thought it looked good -- what humans might look like if our hair turned blue as we aged.
