I hope this movie is well done.

For the record I couldn't take ten minutes of of Strike Back.

I watch fictional tv shows to be entertained. Strike Back did just that, well except for the first british season with the guy from the Walking Dead. That one was terrible.

Before they moved into the era of reviewing yachting socks, Playboy was definitely worth a read. Unfortunately, I was about 10 when the irrelevant era crept around (e.g., the birth of the world wide web), and I missed out on all the intellectual shit. Now I just listen to NPR, and have a subscription to porn sites on the side.

I can't speak for Heyscooter, but I'm going to danger that we're coming at it from the same lens and background.

While 13 Hours was a well done flick, it had some pretty glaring and intentional inaccuracies. The inaccuracies are overtly offensive to many individuals.

    We all have our vices.

I am specifically talking about NPR.

Can you elaborate on the inaccuracies? I believe you and I'm genuinely curious.

I watch movies like 13 hours as tributes to good guys fighting evil. I doubt they are totally accurate.

Unfortunately no. Sorry, I know it's aggravating.

I've always enjoyed the various Osprey Elite books since I was a kid. This was a good read, with a number of photographs I hadn't seen before, as well as some interesting details (e.g. one of the SAS troopers experienced a first round stoppage with his MP5 necessitating transition to the Browning Hi-Power to finish the fight).

The Imperial War Museum in London also has a neat display on the raid, including one of the models used to plan the operation. One of my favorite museums (terrific WWI exhibit).

@Chance, sorry for threadjacking for a bit there. Back on topic: I think the trailer looks pretty cool. A couple of years ago, I happened across a documentary of the siege. I was completely blown away by how fast the SAS tooled up and constructed mock-ups of the embassy and how hard they drilled for the take-down.

HK should thank this incident for why all the "cool kids" had to have MP5's after seeing them in the hands of the SAS.
