I sent my 442 in to have it converted to 9mm and this is what came back. It now can run 9mm with full moon and 38 spl.
This Gunsmith did all the work. It also has an action job and the porting with the new front sight. I've been running this gun for the last several years without a hitch. He does very good work.

Cool stuff. Mind sharing some images?
There's nothing civil about this war.
Sure. We just got back from Europe last night. Still putting stuff away.

Sweet! I'm interested too, for my fleet of j frames.

I notice on his website it says that, while you can shoot .38s in the gun after the 9mm conversion, that they will (may?) fire-form to 9mm dimensions and stick. Is that your experience, or is it just a cautionary statement "in case"? (So to speak.)

I've never had any stick in mine but I'm pretty aggressive when I unload.

I tried to take all angles.

REALLY cool! I had no idea that was possible with the front sight, nor the cylinder conversion.

I just wanted the conversion and action job done, he surprised me with the rest. I couldn't tell you if the porting really makes a difference in that short barrel.
