    New Beretta!

    Sorta.

I bought one of the used AIM surplus Berettas to use as a backup to my current Beretta. I have already on the way:
    -Factory standard recoil spring
    -D-hammer spring
    -Wilson ultra thin grips
-Wolff TCU to replace the trigger return spring

I may be getting a new WC trigger bar. The current Beretta does have one and it's ok. I like the durability of it more than the perceived reliability benefits. The trigger honestly isn't too bad. Locking block looks ok.

I've heard of the "Pepperoni rear sight" and I do think I should get one. What height for a standard 92FS is ideal? Also probably going to grab an extended mag release. Am I missing anything significant here? Should I replace any other parts preemptively?

Les has sight height info somewhere in this thread on the different rear sights and heights needed for your preferred poi, plus pictures of the different combos

Agreed. It's honestly not as difficult to install as some folks say.

I'll second this. Beretta also adds extra plungers and springs to the kit, in case you launch one across the living room.

I installed a g conversion on my 92a1. First time ever putting hands on one to. Pretty easy install. Buy a 1.5mm punch.

Why not shoot the gun first to see where it prints, and then decide on a rear sight height, instead of guessing?

Good point. Sights probably ought to be last to go on.
