There ain't no free lunch. Every attachment method, including fixed loops, has downsides and potential durability issues. Pick the one that works for you.

I like the look of these.

Didnt mean to come cross as a negative nilly. I like the idea a LOT. As soon as they get back in stock I will invest in a set to try out. For OWB I think you re not going to have much issues in a grappling situation. The latching cam is under the belt so the weak link is going to be the holster material or the belt material. IWB the cam is facing way from you so its going to come down to the stiffness of the cam action. Do you need the leverage of lifting from the bottom or can you deactivate from any angle. Now, what does all that mean? For the average CHL guy probably nothing as most of us already carry with some kind of clip that could be pulled off of us in a grappling situation. For guys working in areas where they know they will end up having to go hands on with someone (LEO, Security...)clips of any sort is not the ticket.

Taz, your negativity is quite welcome and encouraged that is why I made the thread . I'm looking for peoples opinions both negative and positive. I guess we all won't know until it gets tested when it comes out. It kind of reminds me of a more versatile and smaller tek lok that can clip with or without a belt, inside or outside waist band, and even tuckable.

I eventually want a holster made with this clip that can do AIWB, OWB, and maybe even cant adjustable like one attached to a JM custom universal with velcro for IWB on one side, and holes on the other side for OWB. Mean't to be casually and versatily carried.

I did a search to find this thread to ask this question.

I have to attend a function next year which will most probably require me to wear a suit. Let's say at least a tucked in dress shirt, for sure. I did a look around for tucked in carry options and ran across these clips, which appear to be still for sale.

Are these worth buying for occasional use? Or is there a better option for tucked CCW? I don't think I can pull off a James Bond shoulder holster.

I would not be rolling around in a MMA type environment, at least not intentionally, just need to be able to be comfortable driving, sitting, standing, etc. For pistol context say it would be a slimline 9mm e.g. P365x/G48/Shield Plus, that sort of thing.

I found the "Ulticlip" for sale on Amazon, $14.99 ea:

I've only used the slim version on knife sheaths. It's a good tool, but not something I'm particularly enamored with. Good...not awesome. Grip is decent.

I'd consider a DCC clip if you can find one for your usage needs.
There's nothing civil about this war.

Still no. It's not the MMA stuff only that works them loose, it's just plain old movement. In some cases more issues with soft, casual movement than aggressive fighting.
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

Thanks Tom. I have a few DCC clips of various types. I'll attach one of those to a spare shell to see how it would work with a tucked in shirt.
