Very nice job, especially on the front sight.

You said "returned to the states"...where has that piece been?

Very nice. Have you thought about installing a tritium front sight?
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

How easy or hard is it to cut the dovetail accurately and get the front sight pusher into place given the round barrel? If the barrel is rotated even a small amount while making the cut, the sight will not be centered on top. Most sight pushers are designed with a rectangular slide in mind.

From memory, the front sight on my fixed sight K-Frames is around .140" to .150" tall. I've done the dovetail on a couple and just used a hammer and a brass punch.

Nicely done. The 3" K frame is a great all around wheel gun.

I'll measure the front sight height if you want.
Please do and thanks. The information would be good to have. Make sure you measure from the flat of the barrel to the top of the sight since the front sight maybe on a pedestal that sits on the barrel flat.

Don't know, it just has century arms disfigurement on the side plate.

That's the reason for using 1911 front sight. The choices. I would have used a tritium but the old one in the parts box was dead.

I used old school hammer and brass rod to install the front sight in the dove tail. It took about two hours with hand tools to cut the dove tail and install the sight. If your interested I can post a photo essay.
