    Pocket Carry Surprise

Been carrying a 442 in a Tuff PocketRoo for 6 1/2 years. First time ever to have something I was unaware of end up in my pocket. Was at the range yesterday wearing an untucked shirt that covers my pockets. Found this little surprise at home when switching to work jeans.

I was gonna make an off color joke about hands, pockets and accidental discharges...but...nah.

That would certainly get my attention if I saw that when pulling my pocket holster out.

At least you were using a holster that properly protected the trigger area.

Yes. Thankfully. And as Blues said, it certainly got my attention.

Glad to see you carry a loaded gun while at the range. That drives me nuts when I talk to my buds and they ask why they should bring a loaded gun, if they have all there crap in a bag.....all your shit is in a BAG!

Looks like your 442 really wants to be a 9mm. Maybe its time for a 9mm revolver.

What would be a proper one and why isn't this one proper?

This one fits me, conceals the gun, carries a reload, stays in my pocket on a draw and allows me to unholster without removing the gun from the holster.

Many of the supporting businesses here have very good kydex holsters.

The biggest and most blatant issue is lack of retention. Sure it may sit in your pocket well and seem like a thorough design but the moment you get into a physical confrontation you will likely find that either the gun moved out of the holster or fell out. For a revolver which can go bang in your pocket, that isn't good.

Plus pocket carry isn't exactly the best method of carry. A revolver can easily be conceal appendix or the like with a good holster which has retention.
