What are the advantages of the MCX over an AAC or BCM short .300 upper on an AR SBR or pistol?
Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.

Only the Hornady 55 grain 5.56 in my AUG (1:9 twist). The 110 TAC-TX has been my go to supersonic round in 300blk.

I like my rifles like my women - short, light, fast, brown, and suppressed.

Minimum length of my 9" MCX without a suppressor and with the stock folded is only 20". That is 4" smaller than my 9" BCM 300blk upper on a CMT UMP-PDW lower with the stock fully collapsed. My wife says that 4" makes a difference but I dunno.

About a 1-2" advantage to the MCX. However, the LAW folder requires modifications to the bolt carrier which I try to avoid.

Special Counter Terrorism police unit created last year using MCX's and some 11.5" 516's.

The Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Officers - dubbed C-men - can deploy by road, river or air in the event of an emergency.

The regular armed cops seem to have Mp-5's and G36's depending on location though recently there have been a bunch seen with what appear to be Colt Canada MK 18's.
