    RIP Roger Moore

Dead at 89. Posting because I'm sure there are others here with a childhood soft spot for his overtly-goofy brand of spydom. Maybe i'll go shoot my wartime PPK in his honor later today.

My strongest memories of him go back to when I was a kid and he played Simon Templar", "The Saint. Never cared for him as "Bond".

    RIP.

RIP Roger. Cancer sucks. That makes him the first Bond actor to die. Love all the bond movies, every single one of them. I even consulted Roger when I looking to chop my 17 down to a 17k.

    Clearly, he approved.

I knew there was something in the back of my mind I was forgetting from even earlier. "Ivanhoe" was the very first show I remember with Roger Moore which I watched as a kid in the late 50's.

Add to that "The Wild geese" and there was another TV show he did with Tony Curtis, I can't remember its name.

I remember him most as the funny, goofy Bond.

Live and Let Die is one of my favorite Bond movies. Not sure if it was because of Sir Roger Moore or Jane Seymour

    May he rest in peace.

I agree, blues. The pure class that Roger Moore exuded in every other role couldn't make him Bond.
