    Handled Ruger 8-Shot Redhawk

Wandering the gun stores last weekend I saw an eight-shot Ruger
Redhawk in .357. The short barrel had an orange painted sight on it
already. That would save me a couple of pennies on nail polish.

I liked it, although maybe as a house gun, rather than
a carry piece. It's massive and would need a very good belt and
holster to carry it. The eight-shot cylinder is impressive.
Not as charmed by the stock grips. The .41 Redhawks I have
both have Pachmayr rubber grips as replacements. They are much
    more comfortable for me.

Price was a bit over $1,000. I plan on finding out what a used
one might go for a year, or two, from now.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

The store that had the Redhawk does have bargains from time to time.
    Often on used shotguns.

The eight shot .357 may be the first to arrive in these parts, so no
bargain price on it yet. I'll take another look next time I go through that
    area.

    Thanks for the info.

I'd like to see it with a 4" barrel personally. If I'm really dreaming, build it on the Super Redhawk frame.
