Ran across another excellent article in the weekly post of information from Greg Ellifritz. This is covering the mindset and behaviors against LE. Not a huge sample but interesting none the less. One particular interesting take away is how successful BLM and other left leaning issues have impacted the general mindset of not only criminals, but while not stated, people in general. For you LE out there this is probably nothing new to you and you are experiencing this on a daily basis but thought I would share with you.

Bonus reading. Had a little to much coffee this morning. Another interesting article, this is a map showing the concentration of murders across the US and where the concentration is heavy. Again for you LE out there, especially in those areas, stay safe. No real surprises here.

Thanks for posting this Dismas. Seems right in line with the erosion of respect for the law and law enforcement brought on in recent years by a number of factors, groups and political ideologies.

Can't say their conclusion held any real surprises.

Conclusion

The Assailant Study identified mindsets in common with each of the assailants. The discussions with law enforcement command staff and officers identified common trends and contributing factors that had the greatest impact on the assailants' mindsets and behaviors. The common trends identified were (1) the expressed desire to kill law enforcement, and (2) the desire to remain free. The contributing factors identified were (1) the singular narrative that portrays the officer involved as guilty in traditional and social media and the subject as the victim, and (2) the recent criminal justice reform initiatives that reduce prosecutions and incarceration of criminals, specifically drug offenders, which has the effect of putting criminals back on the street with an attitude of "beating the system."
