I took a slightly different approach with my AR pistol build, but these things sure are addicting - some much fun in such a compact package! At about 500 rounds mine has thus far been 100% reliable with no tweaking needed of the BCM complete upper. From a kneeling position hits on an 8-inch round steel target are boringly easy at 100 yards with irons. For me, the key to effective use is the two point sling, adjusted to place the buffer tube on my cheek.
FWIW, I keep my ARs wet with Slip 2000 EWL.
I would technically consider a CLP that eats everything up well except me and the environment to be better (at least marginally) than a CLP that eats everything up well including me and the environment.
Guns I can replace. My skin, that might take a while to grow back.
