Seattle is rapidly turning into a worker's paradise, so it's just a matter of time. On the other hand, a Ranger-qualified/long-tabbed pig farmer that many PF'ers know and trust is considering a mayoral bid. If this comes to pass, he will bring righteous and long-overdue pain to the dreamers and apparatchiks who typically infest ballots around here.

OK, so this evening, Greg Hamilton, the founder of InSights Training Center (http://www.insightstraining.com/), announced his bid to become the next mayor of the City of Seattle. I won't go into too much detail before I check with the mods, but I've known Greg for 25 years. He did a hitch in 2/75 Ranger Battalion, then went to the Special Forces Qualification Course and did his bit in the Middle East on an A-Detachment. In between, he opened up InSights, started raising pigs and bees, and generally came back to his PNW roots.

He's running on a populist platform that has no affiliation with any political party. If you want to throw some cash his way or just learn more about a guy doing his civic duty in a way that many of us would find interesting, then check out http://vote-greg-hamilton.org/.

His opponents are the usual suspects, but it's an off year and we just might bring this one home.
