    Aim small miss small

This IDPA season I have focused on using smallish targets for practice. B8,noner rsr steel. Two inch dots etc. in the classifier i shot well but had a bit of surprise. It was rainy and the targets were very shot up by my turn. I had great times and groups but i was off the circle a lot. Mostly because I could not see the circle and must have not judged center mass on those big by comparison targets. Any thoughts on how to correct?

Stock up on IDPA targets so you "know" where the upper chest circle is regardless of how trashed the match targets get.
Don’t blame me. I didn’t vote for that dumb bastard.

So what do I aim at. Center mass is low of circle.

Along those lines, just like offset with AR's shot placement is a thing. 8" circle high chest (like the IDPA target) is a good rule of thumb for shooting to stop actual people.

Do some practice on IDPA targets with 8" white paper plates until you don't need the paper plates anymore.

Get some IDPA targets and outline the down zero with a Sharpie until you get used to aiming at the right place.
