Rethinking how we think or killing little g gods

I made a post yesterday and have made others in the past that refer to comments or positions being taken to an extreme trying to find the exception to a rule. This happens so often in so many online and personal interactions I think it gets missed in critical thinking. I ran across the above and thought how fitting it was to the issue of resistance to new or different ideas here in the gun realm and everywhere else. There is some interesting thoughts related to mindset and self defense stress and thinking in it. I hope it will get read and thought about. I post it here because I find the members here to be more careful and thought provoking in their responses and ideas most of the time but also susceptible to this phenomenon. There is no single person,post or thread I am addressing so please don't think of it as an attack. I find myself just as vulnerable to this.

Fun exercise. Sounds valid. Tested with Gallup Research stuff I've a high "Learner" signature theme so I'm tend to be eager to take in new info and evaluate it.

Good read and excellent points made. Unfortunately, it seems we live in an age when everything, (including facts once taken for granted), is in flux and nothing and no one is necessarily what we may have believed.
