A holster similar to a RCS Eidolon for a S&W Shield

I have the extended DSG shield holster, down right works for me.

I'm 6'2" and 260ish. I'm not a small dude. My issue with small npe guns is the holster always rotates on the belt or rolls over the belt. The DSG holster with claw and extended length solves this issue for me. It has been the most comfortable holster I have used for the shield yet. I do not utilize a foam pad or pillow on the holster.
The metal belt mount works for me on gym shorts, sweat pants and very thin track pant material cargo pants. The only issue I have ever had was side to side rotation due to the use of a belt that was 1.25" wide while wearing my work pants. Same clothing combo and a 1.5" belt and it is not an issue.

I find the extended length provides more comfort and keeps the pistol from rolling over the belt during all activities, sitting, walking, jogging/running and various other activities while working.

I did lend it out to a buddy that is a small fit dude. In his opinion it is the best small gun holster he has tried as well. He reported no issues with rotation or roll on the belt during any day to day activities.

Retention is very good as well and does not yank off of your belt during draws while utilizing a belt. I have never drawn my gun during dry fire and had a holster come out with it while wearing gym shorts or sweat pants.

IMO it is a solid and top choice for a small single stack pistol. Buy one, if you don't like it PM and I'll buy it from you. I always need a spare.

    JM

I got the holster in the mail today and so far I really like it. I got signed off to carry my shield this week so I will be using it on and off duty.

I have been wearing this for a couple of weeks now and I like it a lot.

If I could change one thing it would be the ability to carry it a little lower on the belt.

This holster is leaps and bounds better than the vanguard I have for my 43.

I have been carrying mg G43 more right now. I am trying to get the Shield into see the department armorer to install some trijicon hd sights and an apex trigger.

There is also the KSG Sidekick.

I have no experience with one but I've seen good reviews. Looks like more of a direct replacement for the Eidolon.

I hated the shit out of the eidolon when it came out, but now for whatever reason it doesn't dig in. I've been using it a lot lately as it seems I can't conceal a gun anymore, and now it's magically comfortable.

Anyone try the new vg2a on a 42/43?
