They're great for plinking without being a nuisance.

    That’s a good looking model 17. I have a 17-5 with the 8 3/8” barrel. I wish I had held out for a 6”.

Being a sucker for left handed guns, I had to have this:

The first indication a bad guy should have that I'm dangerous is when his
disembodied soul is looking down at his own corpse wondering what happened.

    A thing I like.

My lifelong best friend, since we were 3 and 4 years old respectively, gave this to me for Christmas a few years back. His family owns the gun shop I used to work for. He got sequential SN guns for he and I. His grandfather was our scoutmaster. We lived a lot of life and lessons in those years and even ended up having a joint Eagle Scout Ceremony; just worked out that way due to the closeness of our families.

I'm sad that the organization that made me a lot of who I am no longer exists. I do my best to get my kids out and teach them the skills as well as modeling the principles and behaviour. I am sad that they will never get to experience what I did through scouting, though.

I admit the rimfire bug is starting to bug me. Broke out Dad's Single Six. 1976 and I don't think it had 100 rounds through it. Shooting it is meditative.

Both my sons are Eagle Scouts . Couldn't be prouder but I concur that the organization has lost its way since they were scouts.
