Czechia closer to getting a 2nd Amendment

Google Translate version of the proposed bill verbiage:

The amendment to the constitutional law on security of the Czech Republic, which consists of adding a new paragraph 3 to Article 3. In accordance with the development of the security situation in the world is proposed in the Constitutional Act on the safety of the Czech Republic to enshrine the right of citizens to dispose of weapons and ammunition in the range corresponding to protect life , health and property. The loading arms, which is already an integral part of the Czech law (Law on Firearms), has from now on be included in the broader framework of ensuring the security of the Czech Republic, including its foundations in the form of protection of sovereignty, territorial integrity and democratic foundations of the Czech Republic. Terms and details of the rights of citizens determined legislator (common) law.
Data (I asked for his permission to share it here) from a Czechian native and gun rights supporter:

things got into some motion and the proposal went through first reading in the Chamber of Deputies and was passed on to Committees to deliberate on it. It will be back to plenary within two months with the plan being of having it decided before the Autumn election (hopefully before summer break in the Chamber).

Meanwhile the Minister of Interior announced that the suit against the EU is finished and they are only waiting for the Directive to be officially published in order to lodge it. (thanks Snejdarek for translation)

And it wasnt passive either - Attending first Czech pro-gun demonstration, collecting signatures for petition, contacted MPs and attended the first reading in parlament. Generally shooters and hunters first jammed entrance to the parlament and then filled every empty space there is in the chamber for audience.

Funn fact: The best speech, the most factual one (which parts of Lisabon threaty should help, etc..), the one that included both T.Jefferson and totalitarian gun-grabbing regimes in our history was delivered by commie, former cop - one of those who were beating protesters during Velvet Revolution... well thats Czech politics in nutshell.

So far we have full support of:
Social Democrats (minister of interior who proposed the amendment)
ODS - right-center currently in opposition.
KSCM - Communist party of Bohemia and Moravia - probably the biggest paradox...
SPD - anti-immigrant party founded by half Japanese entrepreneur.
    partial supprot:
ANO - populist right-to left party of one billionare..
    Against:
KDU - christian democrats - conservative party with catholic/commie tendencies
TOP09 - originated from KDU, led by aristocrat - generally the same as above..

From left to right: Pavel Cerný (police firearm instructor, organized the pro-gun petition)
Milan Chovanec (minister of interior, sponsor of constitutional amendment)
Jana Cernochová (ODS, MP in opposition)
and Jan Korecký (LEX - Czech NRA chairman) at Prague shooting range:

Great news. If a euro country ever went full 2A, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
