    OP: If you do happen to somehow find a source of reliably tested and documented info on the ammo in question, please post it here.

    In the meantime, it seems HST is pretty much always easy to find online in just about any quantity you might want. I never have any trouble getting it.

    I wasn't aware of Browning selling ammo either. "CTD" apparently carries/sells it.

    Being in law enforcement, I tend to go with case loads in brands & versions of ammo which I'm more familiar.
    I'm guessing it's marketed more for an individual seeking somewhat of a brand-name who shoots a relatively low-volume in self-defense-type ammo.
    I've often seen what I consider high priced ammo in stores coming in 20 or 25 round boxes. This is just too expensive for me being the cheap-skate I tend to be.
