Heather MacDonald's Speech, shut down by protesters

Very articulate defense of American Policing, and destroys Black Lives Matter.

I read her book "The War On Cops" and it made some very compelling points and arguments. Its biggest weakness was its repetitiveness.
There's nothing civil about this war.

Seems like she has pulled together some great statistics and numbers. Are they peer-reviewed or solid numbers?

Most of her number appear to come from DOJ statistics.

Buck Sexton interviewed Ms. MacDonald a few days ago on his syndicated radio show. Gave her talk at Claremont to an empty room due to potential for violence and ushered out early by LE to the nearest station. Thuggery abounds on "our" campuses.

As I understand, her Livestream had more views than the originally anticipated number people showing up to her speech...

Funny how stifling speech and other Jr. Varsity totalitarian regime tactics don't work as well in this day and age...What with the interwebz and all.

Wow. That makes it personal for me.

“This is time for the faculty to wake up,” she said. “We are graduating a bunch of neo-totalitarianism and they’re going to take control of power. And they’re firmly convinced that a certain point of view is a form of violence and they’re therefore entitled to use violence to shut it down.”

There are five separate undergraduate colleges in Claremont. Claremont McKenna College, where this event occurred, is the more culturally and politically conservative one, with an active Young Republicans group. (Its academic focus is on business.) Aggressive, militant leftists are generally found across the street at Pomona College, although many tag-alongs come from the pot-smoking-and-future-grievance-industry specialists from Pitzer College.

Harvey Mudd is where the nerds are. It's changed a lot, but twenty years ago the main focus for most students was a healthy and productive study-party life balance. When political BS (protest marches, etc.) briefly spilled over onto the HMC campus, most of the Mudders would just sit there and look at them like, "Don't you idiots have work to do?" When a grievance posse seemed in danger of sticking around, through the formation of the "Women's Issues Action Team" - WIAT, a much larger group of students (including many more women than wanted anything to do with WIAT) self-organized into the "Men's Issues Action Student Squad" - MIASS, providing a balancing voice.

A bunch of idiots shutting down someone who is basically presenting data pisses me off.

    This is a great read.
