    Apex Duty/Carry J Frame Kit?

The mailman today brought the Apex duty/carry kit for my 642, and I thought I'd ask for suggestions or comments before beginning the install.

I've watch an excellent youtube video, and will watch it at least one more time before beginning.

Having recently put an Apex trigger enhancement kit into a M&P 9C, and having experience over 20+ years with the internals of Glocks....it won't be my first rodeo, but will be a first working with a revolver.

Any thoughts or suggestions for me at this point?

The video suggests applying grease to the innards of the revolver. Don't do that. I did and very soon found myself with a trigger that was very slow to reset in cold weather.

Other than that, I found the installation video very helpful and the product was a noticeable improvement in my ability to shoot my J-Frame.
I was into 10mm Auto before it sold out and went mainstream, but these days I'm here for the revolver and epidemiology information.

Like Lester said. Follow the video but leave off the grease.
Make sure you install the Apex firing pin and spring.
I have the kit in two J's.
Much improved trigger and no misfires.
