Saw this today. Is it factory, or something else?

We have a Lipseys account at work , and this is the first I have seen . Very interesting...
Curious. I guess enough people have voiced that the lack of front serrations is savagely detrimental to their skill...
Snarky, I know, but I don't get it and get it at the same time. When/if I need another Glock and that specific variant is in the case I will happily buy it.
There's also a joke about relevance here but I'll put the ball on the tee for others.
Creative way to dump Gen. 4s before the Gen. 5/M is released?

Looks like Glock has multiple new FS models for summer 2017.
The FS version will have forward slide serrations, steel sights, and extended controls. Glock will also offer night sights as a factory option on the G17 Gen4, G19 Gen4, G42, and G43.
G19 Gen4 FS
G17 Gen4 FS
G17C Gen4
G19C Gen4
G17L Gen3
G24 Gen3

Think for yourself. Question authority.
And, the dealer cost is $15 over a regular gen 4...

Just what we need - more temptation for less knowledgeable shooters to get their hands in front of the muzzle.

Agreed. Front serrations are superfluous on any handgun unless a large optic (like an IPSC open gun) is blocking access to the rear serrations. It's another marketing gimmick and they will sell a ton of them I'm sure. That's the wonderful thing about being successful in business though. Sometimes you have to give the people want they want - even if they don't actually need it.
Not sure why the G24 and G17L are listed as new options... they always came with extended controls. I want them to sell me a G17L Gen 4. Otherwise I may have to snag an RTF2 frame to use with my 17L upper.
