Assumptions I make when drawing and shooting

Sorry, but other than my journal, I don't even know where to put this thread.

I've been reading so many journals and so many discussions on great details, that I felt like I was getting somewhere and I wanted to know if my assumptions are going in the right direction.

So these are my assumptions and I wonder if you make them too.

When I am pressing out from my draw, I assume the following:
1) I am soft focused on target as I draw.
2) I transfer my soft focus to the front sight as it comes up to my chin level.
3) As my front sight moves into the rear notch, my focus goes from soft to hard.
4) My finger is on the trigger as soon as I start pressing out.

Nothing you stated sounds out of bounds...except perhaps thinking of the finger being on the trigger when you are sure the hit would land somewhere on the target. If I'm shooting at an IDPA target, I'm never shooting at the whole thing. I'm shooting at a specific target zone on it. I can put my finger on the trigger when I'm sure that the gun is aligned somewhere on the target...so usually when I see the front sight is inside the brown I'm working the trigger.
