    Resources for SCAR 17?

I recently got a Scar 17 and I'm looking for some forums that are the equivalent of P-F. I'm hoping to avoid the tacti-cool guys and derpers. Also looking for write ups that may be posted on blogs, as magazine articles, et. al.

I've run searches on P-F and P&S, but not found much. Maybe it's my keyword (SCAR)?

    Thanks folks!

Anything specific you are looking to get answers on? We have some people here who have extensive experience with the scar system...

I feel like there's an inside joke going on here that I'm not privy to... I'm looking for a forum where they're not likely to say that you need a Giselle super SCAR trigger (OEM trigger is fine, IMO), OSOE single point bungee sling, a Nightforce 1-25 scope (even though you're just shooting out to 600 yards) and a rail extension to hang 10 pounds of crap off of.

    Mostly I'm looking for:

    Maintenance guides/tips, etc

    Thoughts on optics

I just want to read what's out there, but not be duped into thinking that an article/post written by "Gecko45" is legit.

Failure2Stop, Sean_M, and voodoo_man all have a good handle on the SCAR 17.

I'm sure there are others as well.

Thank you. I'll wait for them to chime in, if they choose to.

Any tips or advice or anything you'd share? Even if it's something like "sell it and get an AR" (as long as you expound)

It's not an AR. Don't treat it like one, don't carry it like one. They are hard on optics. Don't use an EOTech. Check mags for function before buying in bulk. Replace the folding factory stock; it's garbage. Make sure you run the gas block on proper setting if you're shooting it suppressed. QC has been hit and miss. Hopefully you got a good one.
You can get much more of what you want with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone.

Any suggestions for replacement stocks. Sean?

    Thanks

There are good sources here. What are you wanting to know? Several of us own them. Ask away.
