Day 1 in the books and WOW! I'm far from an advanced shooter, but I was challenged literally all day long. Gabe introduced a concept, demoed how the concept applied to an exercise, and then it was game on...over and over and over. Most classes are accuracy-centered or speed-centered. Gabe's is literally both at the same time, 100% of the time. More later...

+ 1all of that. New dry fire methods, shot calling drills ginormous volumes of reps.

What is it with head shots with this guy?

That RTF2 grip liked to had me crying by days end. Lol

    I'm gassed

    Yeah. What they said.

I'm an above average shooter, mainly because the average shooter is terrible, and I feel like the slow kid in the corner eating paste.

This is very challenging without being off putting. Gabe is doing a great job of pushing everyone out of their comfort zone and allowing them to improve.

Looking forward to day 2. But first, lots of NSAIDs and more water. Ok, maybe a beer as well.

4 runs on the Food Court Standards so far, all clean, all Light Pin level, and all just outside of Turbo pin range.

I particularly enjoy the movement oriented drills, partially because I am better at them because of USPSA & practice.

Some good tuning tips from Gabe on my concealed AIWB draw, stuff I probably would have only got face-to-face. Also on sight accomodation. This can be hard to follow in the 'technically correct' internet discussions.

Also some good tactical material. I mostly focus on sport and tend to neglect this aspect.

I got a bit flummoxed finding it the first time. 😁
