PX4 SD - Stock Hammer Spring Question

I would appreciate an education regarding the ins and outs of my PX4 SD. I haven't found the right resource to provide the information I'm looking for.

Beretta has Cougar "D" springs in stock again, so I purchased 3....one for my wife's Cougar 8040, one for my PX4 compact, and one for the SD. Then it hit me that the SD has a different trigger group than a stock full size PX4....true or false?

If true and it does have the "Competition Trigger Group" or something similar already in place...should I bother installing a "D" spring? I ask because the Comp Trigger already boasts a 30% reduction in pull in SA. I don't want to install a "D" and inadvertently increase pull weight.

I appreciate any input in advance.

Go ahead and install it. I installed the competition trigger pack and a 12# Wilson Combat hammer spring in my full size PX4. Both the DA and SA are much improved over stock.
    Shoot more, post less...

Competition trigger group has the same weight spring as the regular one (18 lbs), it's just coated. D spring is 16 lbs.

    Thanks for the insight
