G19 Plunger: This look like normal wear & tear?

This G4 G19 has ~1000 rounds through it and it looks like this:

Meanwhile, the other one, that has ~2000 looks like this:

On my G4 G19 the edges of the plunger were sharp, and appeared to be causing a burr to form on the trigger bar where it scraped the top edge. I rounded off the edges of the plunger and cleaned up the trigger bar, and have had no more issues.

I would think the plunger should look more like this: https://store.apextactical.com/WebDi...Details/192006

Seems a bit ridiculous to have to clean up or swap a plunger in ~1000 rounds, no?

I was not impressed. Looked like very sloppy machining work. The chamfer was tiny and the edges hadn't been rounded at all.

But I just wasn't in the mood to fight with Glock about it.

    Looks fine.

If it's really bothering you replace it. It's not expensive.

Ok. Just looked rough but couldn't feel anything. G2G

Perfectly normal. The nickel/Teflon plating tends to flake of of the small parts, especially the plunger. Glock will tell you it is not an issue. All of mine look like that. Using a harsh cleaner like Hoppe's can make it really bad. It can peel off the striker and trigger bar as well, but this seems to be rare compared to the plunger.

Some of mine look better than others. I have one or two pistols with Apex safety plungers and they seem to be holding up very well.
