    Polishing the feed ramp?

Is polishing the feed ramp necessary or is it a solution in search of a problem? I do see tiny, tiny bits of brass and copper occasionally in my G19. Is this an indication of feed ramp issues? Would polishing it help or am I going to see this bits regardless?
    Thanks, SCD

In a modern semi-auto I believe it's unnecessary. It is very easy to do and most folks can't leave well enough alone so it gets done often. Not sure it hurts either though, assuming you use a felt bob and some polish. A smoother surface will make metal transfer a little harder but I'd not really worry about that at all.

I agree with the replies above. I wouldn't take any action absent cause.

This is pretty much what I thought. Thanks for the validation.
