    I've never had to deal with the passport office over the phone but I can say that applying for a passport in person was probably the easiest thing I've ever done with the government. Those people knew WTF was going on.

    Did a follow-up call today. That was a simple call but they didn't drop the ball on that one either. Asked to be transferred to a supervisor at the end; pretty sure I made the day of at least 3 people [emoji1]

    I rolled the dice and called the IRS for help a few weeks ago. Got connected to a friendly, slightly granola - sounding woman who provided excellent service, including two "let me check with someone who has better knowledge in that area, can I put you on hold for 3 to 5 minutes" and actually came back without disconnecting me.... Both times. 15 minute phone call and I left with a clear answer to what I would consider to be an uncommon question.
