Bumping this up. Too good to die. Will post some pics later.
This was my carry gun for several years. The best Series 80 trigger I've ever known, thanks to the Colt Custom Shop.
My 642 that I've ankle or pocket carried for at least 15 years now. Paul Gomez was the original owner and he had the Big Dot custom milled onto it... I aquired it in a 3-way trade with @revolvergeek.
1973 Colt LW Commander.
Not really beat up, just starting to show some signs of frequent carry really as compared to some other guns.
My old 442 I received as a gift for graduating an academy 2 plus decades ago has some miles showing on it now.
For over a decade I carried a used, early 00s G19. It was a police gun before I got it. I don't know what finish Glock used back then but it doesn't look like it has been carried

The 19 & 26 have some scars on 'em that don't show up well in this photo...
The finish was called Tenifer, which from what I understand was a trade/brand name of their own version of finish. Whatever the specifics (salt bath nitriding, or whatever) it is an exceedingly durable finish and I too have noted that guns imported with that finish showed very little wear. It was an exceptional finish. I have a few Glocks with it and they have held up very well over the years. The frames have smoothed up a bit from handling but the finish continues to protect the metal no matter what the weather or condition they are carried in.
