Ameriglo rear sight discolored or normal?

Just received an email from OpticsPlanet last night. The new sight is on the way. Took longer than I would have thought. I called CS twice after they received the returned sight, once on business day 9 and once on biz day 11. Each time very friendly and said they are still dealing with holiday exchanges.

The exchange from OpticsPlanet arrived on 3/1. It had some slight discoloration also but not as noticeable as the first sight. Decided to keep it rather than go through another exchange process again.

I don't recall ever seeing markings like that on any Ameriglo sight I've installed, and no guns on hand (I-Dot Pros and Hacks) have them. Something old, new, or model specific?

You mean the USA markings (vs trijicon?) I've bought a few pairs recently and they have them. I think they are either doing the tritium vials in-house or outsourcing them to a different company. They made the transition sometime in 2016. I've even gotten mixed sets (USA marked rear sight, trijicon marked front sight, both marked '16)
