I've been playing around with mine the last few days after adding a comfort pad. The holster felt and worked great "out of the box" but I'm one of those fiddler kind of guys. I have foam wedge pads on my George holsters but this WC-2.5 didn't need any additional grip turn. This pad is a simple 3/8" oval shape oriented to my body and carry position. It does provide additional comfort and drives the upper part of the gun into body a little more snugly.

I also softened the end of the claw a bit. The upper surface had a very slight molding flash that was irritating middle knuckle. Easy enough to remove with sandpaper and I melted end face while I was at it. The holster is a little easier on and off with this slight mod.

I've worn the holster while doing early spring property maintenance, a few hours on horseback and one short canoe paddle. Not the most tactical of trials but its my reality Very, very happy with the Wing Claw 2.5. I see more of these in my future.

Finally got back to CO and have my guns + new Wing claw 2.5 holster from JMCK. Still getting used to it but first impression is that it's the best AIWB holster I've ever owned. Ordered for the Glock 17/34 (open muzzle) it with foam pad. Body is G17 sized. Carries my 19 perfectly; have not yet tried the 17 though. Really astonishingly good combination of concealability and comfort. Couldn't be happier.

What are people using to grind down the claws?

I use a dremel with a sanding drum for this kind of work but it could easily be done with a mill/bastard file. Slower but its a small job. Finish dressing the modified surface with sandpaper.

Remove only a small amount as you go and try the modified claw often. It doesn't take much material removal to change the degree of pivot pressure thus changing the angle the holster will sit against the body.

1/2" mini belt sander. File would work fine.

Or half off the one on the bottom. I suck at pictures, but if the claw is too much and makes the slide kick out, this will help.
