    I've seen a amputated foot from a girl whose shoelace or pant leg got caught in chain/cog and sucked her foot in.

    No laces or baggy pants around chains.

    This thread tells me that as much as I like my HKs - when I go ride the Dakar Rally - I need to pack a 1911 instead.

    The car crash nerd in me has always wondered how much impact energy was needed to break that grip and was not transferred into the agents body, that's assuming he landed on top of the pistol. Might have acted a crumple zone. Guns are cheap to replace compared to fixing hip fractures.
